1 Peter 5:6-11 (NASB)
6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time,
7 casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.
8 Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
9
But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences
of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the
world.
10 After you have suffered for a little while, the God of
all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself
perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you.
11 To Him be dominion forever and ever. Amen.
Humility
is not naturally desirable, but necessary because the enemy is looking
for an opportunity to destroy you. God will use your suffering to
perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you. He really does care for
you.

Bitter? Cast that Mountain into the Sea
Regarding that mountain of bitterness and unforgiveness - cast it
into the sea.
Sink it deep. Let love cover a multitude of sin (1Pet 4:8) and you will be free.
Jesus said, "Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be taken up and cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it will be granted him. Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you. Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father who is in heaven will also forgive you your transgressions. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven forgive your transgressions." Mark 11:23-26
Every time that mountain starts to float,
tell it to go back into the depths of the sea.
O the deep, deep love of Jesus, vast, unmeasured, boundless, free!
Rolling as a mighty ocean in its fullness over me!
Underneath me, all around me, is the current of Thy love
Leading onward, leading homeward to Thy glorious rest above!
O the deep, deep love of Jesus, spread His praise from shore to shore!
How He loveth, ever loveth, changeth never, nevermore!
How He watches o’er His loved ones, died to call them all His own;
How for them He intercedeth, watcheth o’er them from the throne!
O the deep, deep love of Jesus, love of every love the best!
’Tis an ocean full of blessing, ’tis a haven giving rest!
O the deep, deep love of Jesus, ’tis a heaven of heavens to me;
And it lifts me up to glory, for it lifts me up to Thee! - S. Trevor Francis, 1875.
Ephesians 3:14-21 (NASB)
14 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father,
15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name,
16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man,
17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,
19 and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.
20 Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us,
21 to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.
1 Peter 4:8 (NASB)
8 Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins.

The Pursuit
April 25, 2011 – The Pursuit
· Worship God – 2005
· God is holy. Worship HIM for HIS holiness- 2006
· Serve God - 2007
· I want more of YOU at any cost – 2010
· GOD WANTS MORE – LOVE - 2011
o God wants me to Love more at any cost.
o Love Him. Make HIM the ultimate desire and Matt 6:33 becomes reality
o Let go of the pain. Love as He loves. How does He love?
o He sees us, the unlovable, as lovable, the unworthy are given the honor of His presence, the rejected are accepted, and HE accepts the one who rejected HIM as a friend and grants him honor. This is how GOD loves. But it cost HIM the treasure of heaven, Jesus.
· Pursue love because God is LOVE. Be willing; at any cost – April 2011
"The King will answer and say to them, 'Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of MINE, even the least of them, you did it to Me.' Matthew 25:40 (NASB)

My God, in whom I trust!
Psalm 125:1-5 (NASB)
1 Those who trust in the LORD Are as Mount Zion, which cannot be moved but abides forever.
2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem, So the LORD surrounds His people From this time forth and forever.
3 For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest upon the land of the righteous, So that the righteous will not put forth their hands to do wrong.
4 Do good, O LORD, to those who are good and to those who are upright in their hearts.
5 But as for those who turn aside to their crooked ways, The LORD will lead them away with the doers of iniquity. Peace be upon Israel.
I trust YOU, LORD.
I want to know YOU more. I want more of YOU, at any cost.
Psalm 91:1-2 (NASB)
1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say to the LORD, "My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!"
Psalm 91:14-16 (NASB)
14 "Because he[she] has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him [her]; I will set him [her] securely on high, because he [she] has known My name.
15 "He [she] will call upon Me, and I will answer him [ her] ; I will be with him [her] in trouble; I will rescue him [her] and honor him [her].
16 "With a long life I will satisfy him [her] and let him [her] see My salvation."

Represent Jesus today with Kindness
My son is a welder and takes pride (care) in his work. He has nearly completed a year of intensive training at Advance Technical Institute in Virginia Beach, where he goes to class five hours a day and five nights a week. After a year he will be certified in all aspects of welding. Then he plans to continue studies to gain an associates degree in management. My son drives an hour to his school after working a full day for Custom Welding, where he is appreciated for a strong work ethic and his craftsmanship.
Last week, my son received five company shirts from the owner of Custom Welding. They look sharp with the company logo on the front and back of the basic gray T-shirts. The shirts serve to identify the company when he is out on a job. His work ethic, knowledge, and craftsmanship are a reflection of all that the company represents. He is a walking advertisement.
The Christian is a reflection of Christ to the world. We are walking advertisements of the love, power, and kindness of God. Paul said in his letter to the churches in Rome, "But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts." (Romans 13:14) When we go out in public, we must be mindful that we have the seal of the Holy Spirit upon us. We represent the Kingdom of Heaven and our Boss. Our company logo is the cross and the color of our company t-shirt is the fruit of the Spirit.
Take the fruit of kindness, for example. I have been thanked for just smiling, for being pleasant to someone waiting upon me in a restaurant or department store. This may sound trivial but it is not. Treating others as I wish to be treated is me wearing my Jesus t-shirt in a world short on kindness. Kindness is a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) and can lead a cold heart to desire what I've got, opening the door to witness of the kindness of Jesus Christ, the greatest Boss anyone ever had.
Jesus commanded us to love. He wasn't talking about gushy, mushy feelings, but genuine acts of love. He said the world would recognize us as His disciples because of our love for each other. (John 13:35) James said, "Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says." (James 1:22)
"Treat others the same way you want them to treat you." Jesus did not quantify that and say, "on a good day" or "when you feel happy" or "because they were nice to you first." This is a commandment from Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, the Holy Son, the Royal Prince of Heaven, who reigns over heaven and earth. This is not a difficult thing and being kind will return blessing upon blessing. You can overcome evil with good. (Romans 12:21) Difficult situations and difficult people will be turned around, flipped over, and changed because you did not respond in the flesh, but rather in the Spirit. Other Christians and even non-Christians will bless and praise God because you were kind. You will receive kindness in return and then you will bless God. God receives the glory and you receive the benefit, and that IS GOOD! Praise God!
And let us not forget that it is God's kindness that leads us to repentance. (Romans 2:4) I can testify and personally know this is to be true that if we offer kindness to those who hurt us, they too, might repent.
So today, consider kindness and remember who commanded us to be kind. Go out today, putting on the Lord Jesus Christ and change your world.
Peace
